Each year, Refashion organises the Innovation Challenge, a call for R&D projects open to any company wishing to develop recycling solutions for used, non-reusable CHF collected in France. The Innovation Challenge has a dual purpose:

• To find and grow innovative industrial and commercial solutions optimising the recycling of textiles and footwear;
• Accelerate the development of a more circular industry in synergy with other sectors where there is a demand for recycled materials (construction, automobile, etc.).
  The challenge lies in converting 100,000 tonnes of used and non-reusable textiles into new materials (i.e. 250,000 tonnes collected, sorted, prepared as from 2020).
