The Triman label consists of a human silhouette symbolizing the actions of citizens, surrounded by arrows symbolizing sorting and recycling.
Sorting information specifies how to dispose of a product at the end of life. In other words, it tells consumers where to take the product when they want to dispose of it. In practice, this term refers to the box to the right of the Triman symbol.
According to Decree No. 2021-835 of June 29, 2021, and following the approval of the sorting labels by the authorities, companies must affix the new sorting labels to products as of February 1, 2023.
The sorting information signage is French. To date, there is no equivalent signage internationally.
Its use is free and open to all companies that are members of the Refashion eco-organization.
