The AGEC law aims to accelerate the change in production and consumption patterns in order to limit waste and preserve natural resources, biodiversity and the climate. It contains 130 articles designed to tackle all forms of waste.
It strengthens and extends the framework for EPR sector, in particular the CHF (Clothing, Household linen, Footwear) sector, by setting out various obligations, such as :
- Display of the Repair Fund: Article 62 of the AGEC law;
- Waste prevention and eco-design plan: Article 72 of the AGEC law;
- Sorting info: Article 17 of the AGEC law;
- Consumer information on environmental qualities and characteristics: Article 13 of the AGEC law;
- Environmental labelling: Article 2 of the Climate and Resilience law.
