This distinction exists for adults and children, but not for babies.
This "inconsistency" is linked to the gradual change in requirements for adults and children, which was initiated at the end of 2024 (following the work of the French Durhabi project and discussions on product sustainability within the European PEFCR A&F project). In 2025, defined as a transition year, the requirements for new types of eligible products (e.g., baby products, outdoor clothing) were therefore defined using this work, in which "nighttime use" was not included.
Below are some examples of product classification.
- A pyjama top is defined as a top made of knitted or woven fabric.
- For pyjama trousers, the tests for trousers must be applied.
- As for sleepsuits, these correspond to "onesies."
The Excel file containing the requirements has now been updated to clarify these points.
