Refashion keeps a close eye on the work being done on environmental labelling of textile and footwear products at both French and European level.
Refashion was a member of the technical secretariat of the PEFCR Apparel & Footwear (Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules). This strategic project, initiated by the European Commission, led to the publication of common rules for calculating the environmental footprint of clothing and footwear on May 15/2025.
Refashion also co-financed the DURHABI collaborative research program, led by the Institut Français du Textile et de l'Habillement (IFTH), which ran from 2022 to 2024. The aim of DURHABI was to create a standard for characterizing the physical durability of garments that could be integrated into various environmental display methodologies.
